| This picture used without permission! Ha! Chelsie and some of the great guys we do College with |
There's something generally exceptional about our whole intake. We can feel it and the older students and staff affirm it. We're diving in head first. Hand us a task and we run with it. One fellow student spoke over our group saying that our word is "unity". We have a unity, a bond, that can only be attributed to the supernatural. From the beginning we have loved and supported each other and I pray that never changes!
But what has been exceptionally exceptional about this group is the boys - men - in this intake. Somehow we managed to get an amazing crop of young men who not only love Jesus, are handsome, smart, talented, and kind, but also - and what they deserve to be most commended for - who place incredible honour on us women!
There is not a party that is left that at least 3 guys haven't said, "Let me walk you home". And never is it in a strange way that makes you feel as if there is any other motive then to ensure your comfort and safety. And where we live is really safe, so in many ways, they don't have to do that. That's what makes them so special.
On Valentine's Day, two guys made a point of blessing each female flat with chocolates and flowers. How special is that! Those are some out-of-the-box guys. And boy, oh boy! did it ever make us feel special. We gushed about it a bit (a lot) at Sisterhood that day!
The culture of Hillsong is placing value on people. And that can be instructed, and encouraged, and challenged, but it seems our intake, and for the purpose of THIS post, the boys/men in particular, don't even need to be told. They just do it. Proactive. Impressive. And for this, we are grateful.
Thank you for being the next generation of great men in the earth! Never be discouraged boys! We need, love, and appreciate you!!
